The influence of media on societal values

Sometimes the media has a stronger impact than the one that we realize. An example of that is when the kids watch movies or news and try to imitate what they see, like the way of talking and dressing. I hear when they see people dancing with really short skirts or things like that and decide to dress the same way.Another example is when the media creates a stereotypes of the perfect body. Sometime it is hard to fat people to the find their clothes in the stores because they only have small sizes. That is bad because not only slim people use the clothes.

Also the kind of music and bands influence the way or dressing; liked for example rock music. Those people like to dress only in black and very dark clothes. On the other side, the people who listen to music, like salsa and Hip hop, reggeton and others, tend to dress with more colors.

The students and other people do not have to follow the stereotypes that the media shows us, we have to be original.
